Kipper's Maths Trail for Schools
Suitable for P6 & P7
Visit the Scottish Fisheries Museum, Anstruther with your class and explore the importance of maths in the fishing industry.
As part of a teacher-led visit pupils can work as individuals or in small groups and follow Kipper the Cat as he navigates his first fishing trip. Pupils will solve puzzles and help Kipper become the best fisherman in can be using the power of maths.
Kipper’s Maths Trail is aimed at Primary 6 and 7 pupils. Teachers will be provided with an answer sheet and teachers notes to help with problem solving. The trails cover many learning outcomes including symmetry, measurement, money and time for second level.
Cost: Pupils £4 each, Class Teacher free, Additional Adults £4 each. This can include additional activities such as a tour, or object handling session on request.
