Falkirk Tunnel & Wheel Civil Engineering Trail
This self-led trail takes you on a journey from the Falkirk Tunnel to its more famous neighbour, the Falkirk Wheel, along the Union Canal. It will take you through history, from some of Edinburgh’s darkest days to today’s modern technology, leisure & recreation. You’ll learn about the engineering and history of the canal right up to the present day, seeing things you may never have noticed before.
