Maths Week Scotland Daily Challenge
Our Maths Week Scotland daily challenges are back for 2022! Each morning during Maths Week Scotland, a new puzzle is set by the Scottish Mathematical Council will be shared on BBC Bitesize. You'll get a hint of how to solve it, and the answers will be published after 12:00 each day.
So join in, see if you can work out the answers and have fun doing it!

Maths Wi Nae Borders
Inspired by the annual Mathématiques sans Frontières contest, this mini-competition is for any class to complete together.
To take part follow these steps:

- Complete with your class
- Save your entries with a file name including your School Name and Class Name
- Submit your entries via the Challenge form below before 22 October 2022

Maths inside is returning for Maths Week Scotland 2022! Maths inside is a photo competition open to everyone in Scotland. The categories this year are: in the wild, complete the pattern, and the ‘why’ of shapes. Can you see the maths inside?
Maths is part of our daily life, have you ever thought about it? The home, exercise route, daily dog walks and the weekly shop turned into a playground… this is your chance to get creative and make mathematical connections!
Submit your photos with the maths inside sticker on them to enter the competition. You can enter up to three photos, one per category. Entries will be accepted from 1st September until 11:59pm on 3rd October (please note new deadline), with an online prize ceremony on Saturday 5th November.
Celebrate maths and bring children together across Scotland with a fun online maths contest from Sumdog, taking place 23rd-29th September 2022.
