We have two difference funding opportunities available for Maths Week Scotland 2022 depending on the size of your project: Large Grants Fund and Small Grants Fund,
Large Grants Fund
The Maths Week Scotland Large Grants Fund is now closed and will open again in 2023.
Small Grants Fund
There are two rounds of the Small Grants Fund each year, in Spring and in late Summer, with funding provided by Scottish Government, Edinburgh Mathematical Society and Glasgow Mathematical Journal Trust.
Applicants are able to apply for up to £2,000 allowing individuals, community groups, schools, libraries, museums and other organisations to take part in Maths Week Scotland to create their own innovative events and resources.
The Small Grants Fund is now closed, and will open again in Spring 2023.

Large Grant Funding
Large Grants Fund was launched in May 2021 and open to organisations able to deliver large scale projects for Maths Week Scotland.
Funding was awarded to: Aberdeen Science Centre, Scottish Schools Education Research Centre, Dynamic Earth, Dumfries and Galloway Council, University of Glasgow, University of Edinburgh, Learning Link Scotland and Open University.
Small Grant Funding
Funding for the Small Grants Fund is kindly provided by the Edinburgh Mathematical Society, Glasgow Mathematical Journal Trust and Scottish Government.

Maths in Museums
Maths in Museums Fund was a smaller fund available in 2021 to local museums. Six museums received funding Gairloch Museum, National Mining Museum Scotland, Scottish Maritime Museum, East Lothian Council Museums Service, South Lanarkshire Museums and Summerlee Museums. Activity varied from self led trails to schools workshops to family activity days. You can see more here
For many it was the first time taking part in Maths Week Scotland, and the first time running maths focused activity at their sites. Each attended a training session in February 2021 run by Maths Week Scotland and received support from Education Scotland staff in developing their resources.
