16 - 22 November is Book Week Scotland, an annual celebration of books and reading.

We love a focused week of celebration here at Maths Week Scotland! Books and stories are a fantastic way to engage with maths both as children and adults.

Author Videos

Watch authors talking about the inspiration behind their books, the process of writing and telling their stories.

Books can be a great introduction to exploring the lives of historical or contemporary mathematical figures. Here author and illustrator Anna Doherty tells us the story of Ada Lovelace.

Kjartan Poskitt is a Maths Week Scotland regular and is the author of Murderous Maths. He has a great selection of fun videos on finding and enjoying the maths. Why not try one of his maths tricks after reading one of the Murderous Maths books?

If poetry is more of your thing, join Harry Baker as he talks about how he links maths and poetry in his video for National Numeracy Day.

Bookbug
