Weaving By Numbers - "Waulk and Talk"
On the Saturday of our "Weaving By Numbers" event we will welcome special guests Sgioba Luaidh Inbhirchluaidh (Inverclyde Waulking Group) to perform some music of the weavers and demonstrate spinning and walking.
Waulking is the final stage of producing homespun woollen cloth and was historically done by women, usually accompanied by song.
Visitors can chat to the performers and even have a go at this very important part of the weaving process.
This is a free family activity, no need to book. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
