Trades of East Lothian Trail

John Gray Centre Museum 28th Sep-2nd Oct All day Free

The John Gray Centre Museum celebrates the stories of East Lothian’s people and we are excited to be joining in with Maths Week Scotland! We’ve been uncovering the maths we took for granted in the museum and are looking forward to sharing it with you.

Why not pop in and pick up one of our new trail sheets to see what you can discover about the trades of East Lothian. Explore how different people would have used maths in their day-to-day jobs, from bakers measuring ingredients to weavers creating trade banners. Find out how maths helps build communities and creativity, and have a go at a creative activity yourself.

The trail is self-guided and free to participate in - no extra booking required.

The museum is open from 10.00-13.00 and 14.00-16.30 on Tuesday to Friday, and 10.00-13.00 and 14.00-15.30 on Saturday.
