Could machines ever mimic the magic of Mozart or Monet?

We'll take a journey with world-renowned Oxford professor Marcus du Sautoy into the world of artificial intelligence, examining how computers could soon be using algorithms to vie with old masters in creating masterpieces which move us emotionally in the fields of art, literature and music.

How can this be true, and is it possible to improve our own imagination and creativity as a result? Join us as we explore Marcus' latest book, "The Creativity Code", and see if you can tell the difference between a Constable and a PC!
We'll also delve into Marcus' career in popularising maths, discussing what drives his love of the subject, his experiences in TV, and his own mathematical heroes and heroines.

Marcus du Sautoy is the Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science and Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford. He is the author of six books, and has presented numerous radio and TV series including the landmark BBC TV series, "The Story of Maths" and "The Code". He was awarded an OBE for services to science in the 2010 New Year’s Honours List and was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in 2016.
