Maths Through Ceilidh
Suitable for Second Level (P5-P7)
Our Digital Schools Sessions bring the museum to your classroom. To mark Maths Week Scotland, and this year’s theme of Maths in Motion, we are delighted to partner with the team at Science Ceilidh for this free session.
Dates: Monday 25 to Friday 29 September 2023
Time: Available all day
Length: 20 mins
Cost: Free of charge (UK-based schools only). Booking essential.
By the end of the session, we will have
- We will explore counting and understanding the beats underlying different music and time signatures
- We will explore symmetries through different ceilidh and dance moves
- We will encourage pupils to get creative and develop their own movements and dances which explore symmetries
