Maths in the Real World - Using Percentages for Community Benefit

For Maths Week Scotland we are running a series of talks from STEM Ambassadors to show how the maths students learn today can be used in the world of work.
Jane Elder is a Social Value Coordinator who helps to ensure the work that her construction company does also benefits the community.
Find out how maths is used monitor and report social impact and the skills that are used such as percentages and formulas to convey this information to others.
The talk will be followed by the opportunity for participants to ask questions.
This free talk is suitable for upper primary and throughout secondary years across all subjects as well as for practitioners who want to develop their own knowledge, available to all UK settings. The talk will be available as a recording after the event for anyone who has registered.
