Maths in the Real World - Science & Engineering

Suitable for upper primary and secondary years
For Maths Week Scotland we are running a series of talks from STEM Ambassadors to show how the maths students learn today can be used in the world of work.
Dean McLean, Line Engineer will look at how various aspects of maths are used in engineering.
From speed/distance and time to area, volume and statistics, find out why these skills could be important for your future.
The talk will be followed by the opportunity for participants to ask questions.
This free talk is suitable for upper primary and throughout secondary years across all subjects as well as for practitioners who want to develop their own knowledge, available to all UK settings. The talk will be available as a recording after the event for anyone who has registered.
