Maths in the Real World - Match Statistics in Rugby

Suitable for upper primary and secondary years
For Maths Week Scotland we are running a series of talks from STEM Ambassadors to show how the maths students learn today can be used in the world of work.
Georgia Scott is currently studying for a PhD in Data Analytics in Rugby Union.
Find out how maths is used to collect match data which is used to help coach teams to perform better, though maths didn't belong in sports? Think again.
The talk will be followed by the opportunity for participants to ask questions.
This free talk is suitable for upper primary and throughout secondary years across all subjects as well as for practitioners who want to develop their own knowledge, available to all UK settings. The talk will be available as a recording after the event for anyone who has registered.
