2D Origami Maths

Online 3rd Oct 11.00am-12.00pm Free

In this webinar for Maths Week Scotland, we will explore how to make 2D shapes using origami, and investigate the symmetry of our creations.

This webinar is targeted at children and students in P5-7 and S1-2, and their families. Parents or carers who sign up will be sent a link to a YouTube livestream so that the family can watch the event together. You’ll need minimal resources to take part - just a few sheets of A4 or A5 paper, scissors, and perhaps some coloured pens or pencils. During the webinar, there will be opportunities to submit comments and questions to the presenters via an online form, as well as sharing photos of any origami patterns!

Fran and Alison are both former teachers and experienced presenters, especially on the topic of mathematical origami, so this event is guaranteed to enthuse and inspire!
